Uplifting Entertainment is a Christian production company based in Pennsylvania.[1] It was conceived by Greg Robbins in 1999, who portrays Pastor Greg, with the purpose of "informing with delight."[2] It was formally founded in Oregon in 2003 as a limited partnership between Robbins, director Calvin Kennedy, producer Roger Lounsbury, and writer/producer Ken Armstrong.[3] The 2009 film, C Me Dance, was the first film created by it.[4] It has also produced eight Christian entertainment series for Trinity Broadcasting Network, including Sarah's Stories, Kid Fit, and Deputy Dingle.[5]

Susie's Hope is a 2013 film about a rescued part Pit bull puppy who had been set on fire and terrorized in 2009 in Greensboro, North Carolina, by the boyfriend of its original owner. Now a certified therapy dog, Susie is regularly taken to schools, churches, and hospitals to warn of the danger of animal abuse and to promote kindness and respect. She is owned by Donna Smith Lawrence and her husband, Roy, now of High Point, North Carolina.[6] The film stars Emmanuelle Vaugier as Donna and Burgess Jenkins as Roy Lawrence, with Jon Provost as Don Vaughan, a then member of the North Carolina State Senate from Greensboro, who pushed to passage Susie's Law, which can yield up to ten months in jail to convicted perpetrators of cruelty to animals.[7]
