University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) is one of seven Schools and Colleges of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

The school was established in 1972 along with the School of Allied Health Sciences, and the same year the university was designated officially by the State of Texas as The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

In 1987, the school received a $15 million donation from H. Ross Perot[1] made to the Institute of Biotechnology (now with the Dept of Molecular Medicine).

The school is located adjacent to the University of Texas Health Science Center medical school.
