University of Paris-Saclay
The University of Paris-Saclay (French: Université Paris-Saclay) is a French mega university which is currently under development. The project is part of the Paris-Saclay research-intensive cluster project in the Plateau de Saclay.[1][2]
Mission
According to Dominique Vernay, chairman of the foundation creating Paris-Saclay, the university's ambition is to be in the top 10 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities compiled by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, but "[t]he first goal is to be the top university in continental Europe."[2] The university also wants to maximise the economic and business potential of its research, partly via university and research spin-offs, but also by working closely with established companies.[3]
