The University of Lahore (or UOL) was founded in 1999 under the Ibadat Education Trust. UOL was granted degree awarding status in 2002. It is one of the largest private sector Universities of Pakistan teaching subjects including Medicine and Engineering and the Arts and Social Sciences. All the programs run at the UOL, are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the government regulatory bodies in Pakistan. It is accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Bar Council, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Pakistan Nursing Council and Pharmacy Council of Pakistan.[1]
Introduction
The University of Lahore (UOL) has three campuses in Lahore, two campuses in Islamabad & one in Sargodha, Pakpatan and Gujrat. All programs run at the UOL, are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the government regulatory body, in Pakistan. The university also has courses accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, Pakistan Bar Council and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) respectively.
The University has also achieved the highest "w" Ranking with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The University of Lahore was the first University from Pakistan which was ranked by QS amongst Top Universities of the World and Top Asian Universities Ranking in 2007. The University of Lahore has 9 Academic Faculties, 26 Academic Departments, 109 Degree Programs and teaches 2,954 courses.

Students Services Center (SSC)
Student services Center (SSC) of The University of Lahore (UOL) is envisaged to offer one-step, efficient, and excellent services to its students and develop them academically and physically in an inclusive environment. SSC is operating under the principles of a sense of service, courtesy, fairness, integrity, empathy, efficiency, teamwork and learning. QEC Learning Centre
Learning Center of The University of Lahore is established for the professional development of the teaching faculty and staff. Its objective is to organize in-service Continuous Capacity Building and professional development training sessions, workshops and local and international conferences for enhancement of skills and competitive strength of faculty, staff and M.Phil and PhD students at their campuses.
International students
The University of Lahore has International Students from different countries and has in recent years attracted students from Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, Turkey, Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Jordan, UAE and Uganda amongst others. Foreign seats are available in Degree Programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering and English Language and Literature.
International Advisory Board
The advisory board consists of scientists, engineers and academicians who monitor the institutes' standards of education and research. There are also career counsellors.
Hostels
There are separate hostels for boys and girls.

The University consists of two research centers:
