Uludag University (Turkish: Uludağ Üniversitesi) is a university located in Bursa, Turkey. The research and education conducted by the university have an emphasis on medicine, engineering, natural sciences and art. In particular, Faculty of Medicine and Mechanical Engineering Department of Faculty of Engineering and Architecture have the most populated staff employed as academicians. The official language of instruction at Uludag University is Turkish and English.

History

Actually this university is one of the best universities in Turkey and this university also a world ranked university. Bursa Faculty of Medicine (once under İstanbul University) which was established in 1970, and Bursa Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences which was founded in 1974, formed the basis of Uludag University. The university was established in 1975 under the name of Bursa University and the university took its current name in 1982.

The university includes 11 faculties, 1 school on the undergraduate level, 12 vocational schools, 1 conservatoire, 3 institutes, 11 research centers and 6 departments that are under Presidency. In the academic year 2007–2008, there were 44,048 students enrolled in the university.[1]
