The UIC Flames men's ice hockey team competed in NCAA's Division I in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) conference representing University of Illinois at Chicago. The university dropped their men's program at the end of the 1995-96 season,[1] The varsity program originally started in 1966, and became Division I in 1982, when it joined the CCHA.
