Tylen Jacob Williams (Born December 8, 2001) is an American actor born in Westchester County, New York. He currently plays the role of Charlie's oldest son James on the show Instant Mom. Williams can also be seen in other shows such as Without a Trace, Parks and Recreation, and Everybody Hates Chris.
Early life
Williams was born December 8, 2001, to Angela and Le'roy Williams. He is the younger brother of actors Tyrel Jackson Williams and Tyler James Williams. His father worked as a New York Police Department sergeant, and his mother is a singer, minister, businesswoman, and manager. Tylen was raised in the neighborhoods of Westchester County, Yonkers, and The Bronx.
Career
Williams began his acting career at the age of 3 months. He began doing commercials for major companies, and advertisement. During his infancy he landed a role as a series regular on Sesame Street. At that time his brothers had already been on the show. Tylen went on to star on the show for several years. At a young age he landed the role of Baby Drew for his brother's show, Everybody Hates Chris. He guest-starred in two episodes along with Tyrel. Over the years Tylen has done numerous commercials and small roles. In early 2012 Tylen successfully auditioned to shoot a pilot for actress Tia Mowry's new show Instant Mom. The show was green lit by Nick to run on its Nick@Nite, and Nick Mom segments. The show began production in 2013. He currently stars on Instant Mom as James, an 11-year-old boy who is at times considered a trouble maker.
Personal life
Williams now resides in Los Angeles, California with his family.[2]
