Two X (Korean: 투엑스; an acronym for Top (T), Win(W), One(O), and ‘X‘ signifying ‘multiply) is a South Korean quintet girl group under J. Tune Camp. The group consists of Jiyou, Eun, Minjoo, Surin, and Eunyoung. The group debuted on August 16th, 2012, at Mnet MCountdown Music Show.
J.Tune Camp first announced the girls' debut through their official Twitter on August 11th.[1] J.Tune Camp revealed the faces of Two X through their official cafe on August 15th. In November 2014, Two X officially joined Star Gaze Entertainment and ended their contract with J. Tune Entertainment.
History
2012: Debut with Double Up
On August 16th, Two X released their first teaser for their single "Double Up" through J.Tune Camp’s official YouTube channel. Additional information regarding their debut single has also been revealed. Their debut single album, titled "Double Up," was released on August 20 with its title track pre-released on the 16th, the same day as their debut performance. "Double Up" featured four tracks titled "Initium," "Double Up," "Ring Marks," "뿜 찍고 글랩,"(Boom Take Clap) as well as an instrumental of the title track, "Double Up."[2]
2013: Ring Ma Bell
On February 3, J.Tune released the first teaser for the girls' comeback.[3] The following day, an official photo teaser was released, confirming the release of their second single. The video "Ring Ma Bell(링마벨)" and the single were released on February 12. The song is an electronic pop song produced by Rado; its lyrics discuss a confession of love.[4] They returned with the song on February 14 Two X on Music Bank.[5]
2014: Signing with Star Gaze Entertainment
In November 2014, Two X officially joined Star Gaze Entertainment and ended their contract with J. Tune Entertainment.

Pre-debut activity
Leader and main vocalist Jiyoo was featured on Rain’s “You” off his fifth album “Rainism“, and also sang an OST track “Mayday” for KBS 2TV‘s ‘Fugitive PlanB‘. Eunyoung, the rapper of the group, previously worked as a backup dancer for Rain, Big Bang, and 2NE1.[6] Surin began her career in the entertainment world with the 2008 movie "Death Bell:Bloody Mid-Term".
