2011-Future Twin City Steel

Twin City Steel are a Tier III Jr. ice hockey team based in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. They are members of the West Division of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL).

The newest addition to the NA3HL, was founded in 2011 after the league announced its expansion from 12 teams to 16. The team was to be based in the new White Bear Lake Sports Center in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and to join with the 2011–12 season alongside the other three expansion teams: Granite City Lumberjacks, North Iowa Bulls, & the Minnesota Flying Aces.

The new White Bear-based team(later to be named the Twin City Steel), which is driven by a venture group that's assembled a host of experienced trainers who pride themselves on advancing athletes to the collegiate and professional ranks, will play out of the brand-new Vadnais Sports Center, a state-of-the art facility situated in the Twin Cities which includes the tradition-rich hockey suburbs of White Bear Lake, North St. Paul, Forest Lake, Roseville and Moundsview. "We couldn't be happier to be a part of the NA3HL and all it has to offer," a partner in the team's venture group said. "It's a professionally run organization that affords our student-athletes an outstanding opportunity to take advantage of the enhanced exposure the league provides, as well as the high level of competition. We have a great staff that's enthused to work with a new and energetic team of athletes."

The Twin City Steel lost their first game, 4-3, in Granite City at the hands of the Lumberjacks on September 10, 2011 then went on to record their first win less than a week later at their home-opener.

It was announced on April 23, 2013, that the Steel have been sold to the Black family effective immediately.[1]
