"Twilight of the Gods" is an episode of the British television detective mystery show Inspector Morse dramatised on ITV. It was first broadcast in 1993.
Plot
Neville Grimshaw, an investigative journalist, is found shot dead. Opera diva Gwladys Probert (Sheila Gish), is shot by a sniper during an academic procession which is witnessed by Morse and Sergeant Lewis.
Morse and Lewis discover that Grimshaw was investigating Andrew Baydon (Robert Hardy), a prospective major benefactor of the college. As the investigation unfolds the two shootings are found to be related.
Baydon (real name Anders Bagdonas), a survivor of a Nazi concentration camp, is revealed as a collaborator and guard. He ordered the killing of Grimshaw. Victor Ignotas, a survivor of the same camp, unintentionally shot Probert in attempting to kill Baydon.
