Twang Bar King
Twang Bar King is the second solo album by Adrian Belew, released in 1983.
Like its predecessor Lone Rhino, Twang Bar King features the members of Belew's late 1970s band GaGa (this time augmented by session drummer and former Elvis Presley band member Larrie Londin) and the songs on it are drawn from GaGa's repertoire. Recorded while Belew was an active member of King Crimson during the early 1980s, it was recorded after that group's Beat album and tour. This would be the last album on which Belew would work with the GaGa lineup. The electronic interlude "Sexy Rhino" is a deviation from the rest of the album's tracks by being a parody of R&B music at the time.
