Tusk (comics)

Tusk is a fictional supervillain in the Marvel Comics Universe. His name comes from the two large tusks that protrude out of his shoulders. He has superhuman strength and the ability to create smaller duplicates of himself that do his bidding. He first appeared in X-Factor #65 and was created by Jim Lee, Chris Claremont, and Whilce Portacio

Fictional character biography

Tusk is a member of The Dark Riders, a team of evil Inhumans that served Apocalypse by carrying out his "survival of the fittest" program of eliminating mutants that were deemed to be weak.

Tusk has rarely been present in later incarnations of The Dark Riders, such as the one that abducted Wolverine and attempted to infuse adamantium to his skeleton once more. Following the team's last defeat, his current status is unknown.

Television

• Tusk made minor appearances in the X-Men animated series, though here he was established as a mutant and not an Inhuman. He appeared in the fourth season episode "Secrets, No Longer Buried" working as a mechanic in the town of Skull Mesa (he mentioned a family and showing a generally friendly demeanor), and coming to the aid of a de-powered Cyclops. In "Graduation Day," Tusk was later seen as a soldier in Magneto's mutant army.

Video games

• In the SNES video game X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, Tusk is also established as a mutant, and also a servant of Apocalypse.

• Tusk was a boss in X-Men 2: Clone Wars.

Toys

• Tusk was developed into an action figure in an early X-Men line by Toy Biz. The toy featured a miniature duplicate hidden in his back.
