Tumhari Paakhi

Tumhari Paakhi (English: Your Paakhi) is an Indian television drama show^[2][3][4] which premiered on 11 November 2013,^[5][6] airing on Life OK Monday through Friday evenings.^[7] The show is based on the novel Naba Bidhan by Saratchandra Chattopadhyay.^[6] The first episode contains shots filmed in Panchgani, Udaipur, Chittor, Shimla and Satara.^[3]

Plot overview

Anshuman's father believed in child marriage and married off his son to a girl named Pakhi when they were very young. Problems between the two families resulted in Pakhi not going to her in-laws' house. Anshuman married a city girl when he was of age and had a son Ayan but then his wife died. As time passed he decided to marry Tania, daughter of a rich businessman, Ranaji. But when the news of his first wife was known to all he unwillingly had to bring Pakhi back. He, his sister Lavnya and Tania decided to trick her somehow to go back to her parents' place.

They brought many challenges in her path but she overcame them all. She was asked to run the house on a low budget. Pakhi's last challenge was that she had to make Ayan, who despises her, call her 'Ma'. On the day when Pakhi has to leave Simla, but she finds out that it was Anshuman all along who was trying to get rid of her. She is shattered. But she does not want him to be blamed for their divorce, so calls the media and announces that she is the one who wants a divorce and wants a part of the property, making everyone believe that she is the one who has deceived Anshuman. Anshuman is left with a huge guilt, as he knows that Pakhi did this not only to save him in front of the media but also in the eyes of Ayan, whom she wants to come close to Anshuman. As Pakhi gets ready to leave Rathod Mansion, Girish (Lavanya's husband) tells her that even though Anshuman does not realize it, he is in love with Pakhi, and she should not leave Ayan and Anshuman with Tania, who is a selfish person. Pakhi returns to Rathod mansion and asks for a weeks challenge in exchange for the divorce. The challenge is that Tania has to manage the household in a weekly budget.

Tania realizes that she is failing in task. Tania sees that Anshuman is falling in love with Pakhi and tries to separate them. She runs short of money and tries to get more. She wins the challenge but Anshuman says that he still cannot ask Pakhi to leave as she is the real mother of Ayan. Later Girish tells everybody that Tanya had taken money from Ayan's piggy bank. As Tanya is leaving the house, Ayan comes home and says that he wants Tania to stay and Pakhi to leave. Everybody is shocked. Pakhi tells Anshuman that Ayan is scared about something. Tania scared Ayan by telling him that Anshuman had killed his first wife because he was not in love with her. Mom's death was due to an accident, and she herself was driving the car that day. With the help of Girish and Lavanya she makes Ayan comfortable again. Tania decides to kill Pakhi, but Anshuman drives Tania out of the house. Anshuman later declares that he loves Pakhi. Anshuman doubts that Pakhi is cheating on him and he calls her characterless, which hurts her and she leaves. Anshuman realizes that he misunderstood Pakhi and wants to bring her back. Pakhi writes him a letter which says that she can't live with him. It is revealed that Anshuman's mother was called characterless by his father the same way he said to Pakhi. So, Anshuman decides to find his mother after 20 years and is sure that he will find Pakhi. He finds his mother in Delhi and finds out that Pakhi was one of his mother's roommates and has left for Singapore. He decides to get her back home and apologise to her. Pakhi signs a contract of some cultural competition which says that if she wins she will have to represent her country for 18 years. Anshuman, who is tricked into being one of the participants finds out that Pakhi is a part of it too. Then Pakhi says that if she wins the competition she will give Anshuman the right to wait for her for 18 years and if she loses she will go back home with him. Pakhi realises Anshuman's love and leaves with him to India to start there life fresh.In India they discover Anshuman's younger brother Aryamann who looks exactly like anshuman who is actually a local goon. Aryaman is held responsible for Anshuman's death. This leaves pakhi shattered and she grows stronger as she knows that she has to take care of the business and Ayan. Veer Anshuman's cousin helps paakhi manage business and home. Anshuman's mother asks pakhi to marry Aryaman and forgive him but she instead marries Veer and sends aryaman to jail which angers her mother in law. Veer's family comes to rathore mansion and veer's sister tries to make them fall in love, in the meantime veer falls in love with pakhi but pakhi never takes a liking towards veer and then veer gives her divorce and the story ends by pakhi taking care of rathore business and his family(including riya) and living with Anshuman's memories.
