Tufanganj II (community development block) is an administrative division in Tufanganj subdivision of Cooch Behar district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Tufanganj police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at .[1][2]
Geography
Falimari, a constituent panchayat of the block, is located at 26°24′27″N 89°51′41″E / 26.4073994°N 89.8612976°E.
Tufanganj II community development block has an area of 257.08 km2.[2]

Gram panchayats of Tufanganj II block/ panchayat samiti are: Barokodali I, Barokodali II, Bhanukumari I, Bhanukumar II, Falimari, Mahiskuchi I, Mahiskuchi II, Rampur I, Rampur II, Salbari I and Salbari II.[3]
Demographics
As per 2001 census, Tufanganj II block had a total population of 167,428, out of which 85,249 were males and 82,179 were females. Tufanganj II block registered a population growth of 13.60 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the district was 14.15 per cent.[2] Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84 per cent.[4]
Literacy
Tufanganj II block had a literacy rate of 67.34 per cent - males 77.33 per cent and females 56.96 per cent.[3]
