Tsunekazu Takeda
Tsunekazu Takeda (竹田 恆和 Takeda Tsunekazu, born November 1, 1947) is the current President of the Japanese Olympic Committee.
Biography
Tsunekazu Takeda was born on November 1, 1947, as the third son of Prince Tsuneyoshi Takeda. His great-grandfather was the Emperor Meiji.
He became president of the Japanese Olympic Committee on October 24, 2001. He is also an Executive Board member on the Olympic Council of Asia.[1]
He was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee in July 2012.
His son, Tsuneyasu Takeda, teaches at Keio University.
