Bocono, Trujillo

Trujillo (Spanish: Estado Trujillo, IPA: [esˈtaðo tɾuˈxiʎo]) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Its capital is Trujillo but the largest city is Valera. The state is divided into 20 municipalities and 93 parishes. Trujillo State covers a total surface area of 7,400 km²[1][2] (or 7,198 km²[3]) and, in 2007, had an estimated population of 711,400.
History
Trujillo state was founded from the former Trujillo Province following the creation of the States of Venezuela in 1864 after the Federal War.
