True North trilogy

The True North trilogy is a series of horror comedy films written and directed by Kevin Smith. The trilogy consists of the films Tusk, Yoga Hosers, and Moose Jaws.

Tusk

Tusk is the first film from the trilogy. Based on a story from Kevin Smith's SModcast podcast, the film stars Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment and Genesis Rodriguez.[1] The film's world premiere was held at the Toronto International Film Festival, before it was released on September 19, 2014, by A24 Films. Tusk was notable for being Smith's first major wide release since Cop Out, for featuring a much-talked-about performance by Johnny Depp, and for its disappointing box office performance.

Yoga Hosers

Yoga Hosers is the second film in the True North trilogy. The film is a spin-off of Tusk. The film will again star Johnny Depp alongside his daughter Lily-Rose Depp and Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith. On August 20, 2014, Smith tweeted that film production began. By January 2015, Yoga Hosers had officially wrapped up production and is expected to be released on June 1, 2015.

Moose Jaws

Moose Jaws is the third and final film in the trilogy. As Smith describes the story, Moose Jaws is basically "Jaws with a Moose". Smith said beyond the premise is that it featured a scene of the killer moose devouring a little girl. Smith announces that "Epic Meal Time" star Harley Morenstein is set to lead in the final film of the trilogy although he does make an appearance in the other two.
