McLean had a fantastic career with the Wellington Saints dating back to 1996 when he played one game as a 17-year-old. He has played over two hundred games for the Saints franchise and has averaged over 11 points per game in his career. He did, however, play one season for the Harbour Heat in 2006 where in 18 games averaged 16.4 points per game.[1]
