Triplemanía XVI was the sixteenth Triplemanía wrestling show promoted by Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). The show took place on June 13, 2008 in Mexico City, Mexico. The Main event featured a Singles match for the AAA Mega Championship. Champion Cibernético defended against El Zorro.

Background

The event featured seven professional wrestling matches with different wrestlers involved in pre-existing scripted feuds, plots and storylines. Wrestlers were portrayed as either villains (referred to as rudos in Mexico) or fan favorites (técnicos in Mexico) as they followed a series of tension-building events, which culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

  • Teddy Hart pinned Halloween to eliminate La Familia de Tijuana

4 Faby Apache defeated Mari Apache Best two out of three falls Luchas de apuestas "Hair vs. Hair". As a result Mari Apache was supposed to have her hair shaved off but their father Gran Apache pleaded with them to shave his hair instead.[1]  
5 Vampiro wrestled to a draw with El Mesías when neither wrestler was deemed able to continue Hardcore Match[1]  
6 La Legión Extranjera (Bobby Lashley, Electroshock and Kenzo Suzuki) defeated Chessman, La Parka and Silver King - (Kenzo Suzuki pinned Silver King) Six-man "Lucha Libre rules" tag team match[1]  
7 Cibernético (c) defeated El Zorro Singles match for the AAA Mega Championship[1]
