The women's triathlon was part of the Triathlon at the 2012 Summer Olympics programme. It was the fourth appearance of the event, which was established in 2000. The competition was held on 4 August 2012 at Hyde Park in London.[1]
Competition format
The race was held over the "international distance" (also called "Olympic distance") and consisted of 1,500 metres (0.93 mi) swimming, 40 kilometres (25 mi) road bicycle racing, and 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) road running.
Results
55 athletes participated. (There is no number 13 by tradition.)[2][3]
