Tretiy Island or Treti Island (Остров Третий; Ostrov Tretiy, literally: The Third Island) is a relatively large island in the western shores of the Shelikhov Bay, at the northern end of the Sea of Okhotsk. It is located 4 km to the south of a peninsula that encloses a small bay in an area that is largely uninhabited.[1][2][3]

Geography

Tretiy Island is roughly triangular in shape. It is 8 km long and has a maximum width of 3.7 km.

2.3 km north of Tretiy, in the sound that separates it from the mainland shore, lies an islet only 700 m long and 400 m wide.

Administratively Tretiy Island belongs to the Kamchatka Krai of the Russian Federation.
