Trend is an Austrian monthly business magazine headquartered in Vienna. The magazine is one of the oldest publications in its category in the country.

History and profile

Trend, based in Vienna, was established in 1969 by Oscar Bronner,[1][2][3] being the first independent business magazine in Austria.[4]

In 1974 the magazine was sold to the Verlagsgruppe NEWS which still owns it.[3][5] It is published monthly[6][7] with a size of 210 x 280 mm.[5] The magazine targets senior executives, entrepreneurs and decision-makers[5] as well as Austria's intelligentsia.[4] It is among the pioneers of investigative journalism in the country[4] and publishes a list of Best Workplaces in Austria.[8]

Circulation

In the mid-1980s Trend had a circulation of 72,000 copies.[9] The monthly had a circulation of 68,000 copies in 2003.[6] Its circulation was 50,000 copies in 2007.[10] The publisher announced in 2010 that the circulation of the magazine was 60,067 copies.[5] The circulation of the magazine during the first half of 2013 was 47,248 copies.[11]
