This article is about the cancelled Tremors video game. For the 2004 flash computer game based on the film Tremors 4, see Dirt Dragons.

The Tremors video game was based on the Tremors film franchise. The game was announced in August 2002 by Rock Solid Studios,[1] who had been working on the game since April/May 2002.[2] The game was to take place in the desert community of Golden Rock. Tremors was going to be a third-person action game for the Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and PC.[3] The game was scheduled for release during the fall of 2003.[4] However, the game was quietly canceled in the summer of 2003.[1]

Gameplay

Very little is known about what the game was going to be like; however, it is known that it was supposed to be a single-player, third person, survival-horror action Game. The main concept of the game was battling various types of Graboids[1](Graboids and Shriekers were confirmed[2]) with ranged and melee weapons. While finding creative methods to avoid walking on the ground and hiding character's body heat signatures.[1]

Story

As with game play, very little information about the story was ever released; yet it was announced that the game, while containing references to the films (and TV series), would have an independent story line.[2]
