Trecastagni (Sicilian: Triccastagni) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) southeast of Palermo and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,936 and an area of 19.0 square kilometres (7.3 sq mi).[1]

Trecastagni borders the following municipalities: Pedara, San Giovanni la Punta, Viagrande, Zafferana Etnea.

Its patron is Saint Nicholas and compatron are SS. MM. Alphius, Philadelphus and Cyrinus the feast day on 6 December (Saint Nicholas) and 10 May (S.Alphio ) with much festivity and celebration.
