Travis Colyer (born 24 August 1991) is an Australian rules footballer for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League.

Colyer was selected by Essendon with the 26th pick in the 2009 AFL Draft. He previously played for Claremont in the WAFL, Trinity College, Perth[1] and Marist Football Club. Colyer also represented Western Australia in the 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships and was named in the 2009 U18 All Australian team.[2]

AFL career

Colyer played his first AFL game against Carlton in round 3 of the 2010 AFL season.

Essendon’s third pick in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft, Colyer made a great impression in his first season at AFL level. The West Australian played 11 games, with his speedy and tenacious approach enabling him to break lines through the midfield. Small in stature, the teenager also showed an ability to go forward and kick a goal.

2010 season

Colyer made his début against Carlton in Round 3, 2010. He played 11 games and kicked 7 goals in his debut season. He made a great impression, with his speedy and tenacious approach enabling him to break lines through the midfield. He is a midfielder, but can go forward and kick goals.
