The Townsville Post Office (Former) is a building in Townsville CBD.
History
The tower was built in 1886 in three stages.
World War II
During the war, after the first raid on Townsville, the defence department became concerned that the clock tower would become a target for Japanese bombers after the post office clock in Darwin was bombed.
