Toshio Nobe

Toshio Nobe (野部 利雄 Nobe Toshio, born January 18, 1957 in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese manga artist.

He graduated from Wako University in Machida, Tokyo. In 1979, Nobe won an honorable mention in the 18th Tezuka Award for his story Hana to Arashi ga Iku. Others who won an award at the same time include Tsukasa Hojo and Kamui Fujiwara. Nobe's works tend to be longer, and include varying elements of romantic comedy, bishōjo, science fiction, and boxing. Nobe also likes to throw in unexpected plot twists and use many elements found in works from the 1970s.
