Torrenova is an underground station of Line C of the Rome Metro. It is located at Via Casilina and serves the Roman quarters of Torre Angela, Tor Vergata and Giardinetti. It is the only surface station of Line C which retained the original architectural character of the historic train station on the Rome–Pantano railway line. The train station closed in 2008 in order to transform it into the metro station. It re-opened on 9 November 2014.
