Tororo Airport (IATA: TRY, ICAO: HUTO) is an airport in Uganda. It is one of the forty-six (46) airports in the country.[1]
Location
Tororo Airport is located in the town of Tororo, Tororo District, Eastern Uganda. It is approximately 206 kilometres (128 mi), by air, east of Entebbe International Airport, the country’s largest civilian and military airport.[2] The geographic coordinates of this airport are 0°40′48″N 34°10′4″E / 0.68000°N 34.16778°ECoordinates: 0°40′48″N 34°10′4″E / 0.68000°N 34.16778°E.
Overview
Tororo Airport is a small civilian airport that serves the town of Tororo. It is one of the thirteen (13) upcountry airports that are administered by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority.[3]
Tororo Airport is situated 3,842 feet (1,171 m) above sea level.[4] The airport has a single unpaved runway measuring 5,600 feet (1,700 m) long.[5]
