Tornado World Championships
The Tornado World Championships are international sailing regattas in the Tornado class organized by the International Sailing Federation and the International Tornado Class Association.[1]
For the original open event, most titles has Australian sailor Darren Bundock won, with seven titles between 1998 and 2009 and another two bronze medals. Second most titles has Australian John Forbes, with six. The most championships has been won by Australian sailors, twelve editions, followed by British sailors, six titles, and sailors of Germany (five).
The Tornado was an Olympic class from 1976 to 2008.

The first Tornado World Championships were held in Kiel in 1968.
