Topps Tiles plc is a British national retailer based in Enderby. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE SmallCap Index.
History
The first store was opened in Manchester in 1963, by Alan Brindle and Ted Derbyshire, and then sold the stores to Bester & Williams. There are now over 327 stores. It used to be based in Wilmslow, but is now based at Grove Park, next to the M1 near Enderby and the B1114 (former A46). They sponsored the football team Leicester City from 2007–2009
Topps Tiles launched a new slogan in November 2010, "Tiles for Everyone".
Product range
Topps Tiles sells floor tiles, natural stone, laminate and solid wood flooring, and related products and accessories such as underfloor heating, tools, adhesives, grouts and cleaning products.
Market share
Topps Tiles have a 25% UK market share. Group revenue for 2014 was £205.3 million, with an operating profit of £42.5 million. The 2010 annual report, gave the market share of Topps Tiles as 25%, an increase on the previous year of 2%.
