Top Model po-russki

Top Model po-russki (rus. Топ-модель по-русски) is a Russian reality documentary, and the second Russian adaptation of Tyra Banks', America's Next Top Model after You are a Supermodel which aired from 2004 to 2007, and had four cycles.
The show places a group of young contestants from Russia against each other in a variety of challenges to determine who will win title of the next Russian Top Model along with a lucrative modelling contract, and other prizes in the hope of a successful future in the modeling industry.

On 30 November 2012, the media announced that "Top model po-russki" was officially cancelled with Season 4 being its last.^[1][2] After a one year hiatus, the show returned in 2014 when an open casting call was announced on the show's website.^[3]

Judges

From cycles one through three the competition was presented by Russian TV Host Kseniya Sobchak. The panel of the first cycle was composed of host Kseniya Sobchak, top model Inna Zobova, fashion designer Elena Suprun, and photographer Mikhail Korolev.

For season two, Suprun and Korolev left the show. They were replaced by male model Danila Polyakov, and stylist, fashion designer & TV presenter Vlad Lisovez.

For season four, all members of the judging panel (along with host Kseniya Sobchak, were removed from the show. The new host of the series was revealed to be Irina Shayk. The remaining members of the judging panel were J. Alexander, Tess Feuilhade, and Vincent McDoom.

All the judges were replaced for season five. Vlad Lisovetz, judge from cycles two and three, returned for season five. Former host Ksenia Sobchak also returned, but only as a judge. The final judge is Denis Simachev. The new host for the season was revealed to be former Italia's Next Top Model host Natasha Stefanenko.

Show Format Changes

The fourth cycle of the show is currently being held under the slogan "Top model in a new way!". Producers of the show ultimately decided to scrap the old format of the show, and begin anew with a revamped judging panel, host, logo, along with stricter requirements for applying contestants.

For season five, contestants from any nationality were allowed to apply for the show, under the premise that they had legitimate Russian roots.
