Tony Teora is an author of numerous science fiction books and is running for a California State Assembly position. His published works are available as e-books from Double Dragon Publishing [1] and later became available in soft covers and audio books.

Education

Teora grew up in New Jersey. As a young man he was awarded a full scholarship to Moses Brown School in Providence R.I. though A Better Chance.[2]

He later attended Rutgers School of Engineering receiving a Bachelor of Engineering. Over the years Tony has studied at the University of Maryland (Japanese), Harvard Business School (IT Executive Education) and UCSD (Computer Science).

Experience

After attending Rutgers, Teora got involved in business and politics with a focus on fiscal conservatism. He assisted the Jackson Organization for Less Taxation (JOLT) and was active in the New Jersey Conservative Party movement.

In 1994 he moved to California and took a job as a Computer Science Instructor for Central Texas College in San Diego.[3] He taught for two years on various Navy ships through the US Navy’s Program for Afloat College Education. He eventually settled in Japan. He started two businesses in Japan - one, internet company serving the military, and another focusing on software and consulting for financial firms.

Teora works as a Vice President, Data Solutions Manager, for Union Bank and as a science fiction author at night, penning various novels and short stories.

he is a member of the Freemasons, Lodge #35 and also the Sons of the American Legion Post 468, Julian CA.

Political campaign

Teora is campaigning for a position in California's 71st State Assembly district. He is running as a moderate Republican. His key issues are creating good jobs, lowering taxes and education. Teora supports a minimum wage increase tied to lower taxes for small businesses. He has been endorsed by the California Faculty Association. Teora will be running against incumbent Brian Jones in November 2014.
