Tombigbee State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is located off Mississippi Highway 6 approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) east of Tupelo. It is named after the nearby Tombigbee River. It is one of the nine original state parks in Mississippi built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.[3]
The Tombigbee State Park Historic District was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.[4][5]
Activities and amenities
The park features fishing on 120-acre (49 ha) Lake Lee, primitive and developed campsites, seven cabins, a cottage, a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) nature trail, picnic area, and two disc golf courses.[6]
