Tom Shillue

Tom Shillue is an American stand up comedian and storyteller.

Television and film

He has appeared in several TV series and short films. Recently he has featured on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon both performing stand up comedy and performing in Fallon's Barbershop Quartet, with whom he performed Sexy Back along with Justin Timberlake. He has also appeared with Conan O'Brien doing stand up.[1]

He is a regular panelist and guest host on Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld on FOX News Channel and in early 2014 co-hosted several episodes of The Five in Greg Gutfeld's place while the latter was promoting his book Not Cool.[2]

Shillue is a former correspondent on The Daily Show.[3]

He appeared in the film Mystery Team by Derrick Comedy in 2009.[4]

Stand Up and theatre

He performs frequently as an opening act for Jim Gaffigan. He also performed a two-man show along with Gaffigan in the late 1990s called The American White Male.[5]

Shillue has performed solo shows including Supernormal at PS122 and Dad 2.0 at Ars Nova Theatre.[6][7]

Other work

Shillue announced his 12 in 12 project, whereby he would release an album of new material each month from November 2012 to October 2013.[8] Some viewers of Red Eye believed the promotion of these new albums was simply a running gag on the show, a misconception which Shillue and Gutfeld dispelled on air, leading to a spike in sales.[9]
