Tom Morris (born c. 1954) is a British billionaire businessman and founder of Home Bargains.

Early life

Tom Morris was born circa 1954.[1] He is the son of a shopkeeper in Liverpool's Scotland Road, and one of seven children.[1][2]

He received a degree in Engineering.[2]

Career

Morris started the Liverpool-based discount retail chain Home Bargains in 1976,[3] when he was 21 years old. It now has more than 300 stores, and Morris has net worth of £2.05 billion.[1] The parent company is the privately held TJ Morris.

Morris owns 89% while his younger brother, Joe Morris, is a smaller shareholder and operations director.[3] Three other brothers also work for the company.[2]

Morris is worth an estimated £2.05 billion.[4]
