Tom Masella (born July 11, 1959) is the former head coach of the Fordham Rams football team. He had previously been the head coach of the Boston University Terriers, and Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils.

After serving as an assistant at Wagner, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Boston University, Masella became the first head coach of the Fairfield University football team. However, he would leave prior to their first game to return to Boston University, and so he holds the odd distinction of being the only coach at Fairfield who never coached a single game. Masella coached BU to a 2–20 over two seasons before the University dropped football.

After BU, Masella was an assistant at Connecticut, Louisiana Tech, and UMass before becoming the head coach at Central Connecticut State University

He was the 11th head college football coach for the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils located in New Britain, Connecticut. He held that position for two seasons, from 2004 until 2005. His coaching record at Central Connecticut was 15 wins, 6 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him sixth at Central Connecticut in total wins and first at Central Connecticut in winning percentage (0.714).[1]

Masella left CCSU to become head coach at Fordham. In only his second season, he led the Rams to an 8–4 record, the Patriot League championship, and a spot in the 2007 NCAA FCS Playoffs.

He is currently the assistant head football coach at Wagner University.
