Tom Davis (sportscaster)

Tom Davis is a veteran sportscaster who was the host of O's Extra, the pre/postgame show on MASN. He previously served that role on Home Team Sports. He has been a sportscaster for forty one years. He currently serves the same role for the Orioles Radio Network.

Biography

Davis started his career at WBAL-TV as weekend sports anchor in the early 1970s. On the national level, he has done play-by-play for the NFL on NBC and NBC Radio, college football for NBC, and some Olympic games as well on NBC Radio as an anchor and announcer for men's basketball and boxing. Davis was a member of the Mutual Radio Network, where he called college football and served as a sideline reporter for the USFL on ABC. On August 8, 1998, Davis called an exhibition game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bears and hosts Wall to Wall Baseball and hosted and produced shows for the Ravens and Orioles, Touchdown Baltimore and Take Me Out To The Ballgame for MASN.

Personal

Davis lives in Baltimore County with his wife Bonnie, has three adult children, and has three grandchildren. He attended and graduated from Calvert Hall College High School and received a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Baltimore in 1971.
