Tom Connan

Tom Connan[1] (born April 1, 1993) is a French-American singer, songwriter, actor[2][3] and director. He gained attention with his single "Beautiful Day"[4][5] in 2012.

Early life

Born and raised in London, Connan initially studied at the London School of Economics before dropping out to pursue a musical and acting career. After participating at several musical events in the US (SCMC Music Conference, Washington D.C.; Coast to Coast Industry Mixer,[6] Webster Hall,[7] NYC; Independent Music Summit, Palm Springs), he met dance music promoter Harry Frank Towers[8] who promoted his debut single "Live My Life",[9][10][11] produced by the American DJs Klubjumpers.[12]

Musical and acting career

Connan rose to prominence with his second single "Beautiful Day"[13][14][15][16][17] (2012), promoted by New York-based record promoter Brad LeBeau[18][19] and remixed by top DJ Mark Picchiotti,[20] which produced national success[21] in the US club circuit[22][23] and also in the UK. His following singles "Trashy Talk, Trashy World", "You Didn't Give Them a Chance",[24] "Revolt"[25] and "Wanna Know Why"[26][27] were met with similar reception. His first EP[28] "You Didn't Give Them a Chance"[29] was released in 2014. In the movie industry, after he signed a deal with American manager Anthony J. Messina[30] and worked with English film producer Darren Stuart,[31] Connan made his debut feature film as a director in 2014 with the as-yet unreleased A Story Of Negation,[32] produced by his company Tom Connan Pictures,[33] in which he starred.[34] Recently, he announced his second feature film Beyond My Control, which will take place in Brittany.[35]
