Tom Basso
Thomas F. Basso was a stock and commodities trader who was president and founder of Trendstat Capital Management. Trendstat Capital Management, Inc. manages over $65 million for 300 clients worldwide.[1] He is the author of two books, Panic-Proof Investing and the self-published The Frustrated Investor. In 1998, he was elected to the board of the National Futures Association.
Before trading, Basso became an engineer for Monsanto Company[2]
Basso became a registered investment advisor in 1980 and a registered commodities advisor in 1984. Retired from active trading, he now sits on the hedge fund advisory board of Blackstar Funds LLC [3]
Basso graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY in 1974.
