Toast is a play written in 1999 by English playwright Richard Bean. It premiered at the Royal Court Theatre, London in 1999.[1] The play tells the story of seven men who all work in a bread factory in Hull. One Sunday night, Nellie is so worn down from a lifetime making dough, he loses his vest in the mix.

2014 Revival
On 30 June 2014 it was announced that Matthew Kelly and Simon Greenall would star in the first London revival of Toast, at The Park Theatre. The revival will be directed by Eleanor Rhode and produced by Sarah Loader for Snapdragon Productions.[2] To mark this revival, The Park Theatre will host a Q&A with Richard Bean on Thursday 4th September 2014.
