Titan Wars (released as Solar Eclipse in North America) is a video game released for the Sega Saturn, developed and published by Crystal Dynamics[1] (before the buyout by Eidos Interactive). Its full motion video sequences star Claudia Christian.

Solar Eclipse was developed under the title "Titan", but the USA marketing team decided it would sell better if published as a sequel to the 1993 3DO/PlayStation game Total Eclipse, especially as the two featured similar gameplay and graphical style.

The game was also released for the PlayStation in Europe only, again under the title Titan Wars.[2] The PlayStation version is a straight port of the Saturn version.

Reception

The four reviewers of Electronic Gaming Monthly gave the Saturn version a 7.75 average. They praised the intense gameplay, the considerable strategy required to elude enemy fire, and the solid graphics.[3]
