Tistory: Special Live Tour (stylized as TVXQ! Special Live Tour – T1ST0RY), also known as the tenth anniversary tour, is the fifth world concert tour (twelfth overall) by South Korean pop duo TVXQ. The first leg of the tour commenced with two shows in Seoul, South Korea in December 2014, and has performed in various arenas across Taiwan, China, and Thailand throughout 2015. Launched in celebration for their decade in K-pop, the tour's setlist consists of some of TVXQ's greatest hits over the years, spanning from their first Korean studio album Tri-Angle (2004) to their seventh studio album Tense (2014).[1] The tour will be the duo's last headlining concert tour before they take their indefinite hiatus to enlist in South Korea's compulsory military service.
The name "Tistory" (T1ST0RY; pronounced "tee-story") is coined from the combination of the letter "T" (from "TVXQ") and the word "history," representing TVXQ's history. The "i" and "o" in the word "history" is replaced with the numbers "1" and "0" to symbolize the duo's tenth year.[2] The concert is produced by Shim Jae-won and promoted by Dreammaker Entertainment in South Korea.[3]
Background
TVXQ's tenth anniversary promotions started in December 2013, when they held a two-day special concert to commemorate their decade in the Korean music industry. The concert, titled Time Slip, was part of S.M. Entertainment's winter music festival SMTOWN WEEK. Time Slip was held in Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena on December 26, TVXQ's tenth anniversary day, and December 27, 2013. Two weeks after the concert, the duo released their tenth anniversary album Tense and its reissue album Spellbound, respectively in January and February 2014.
On October 21, 2014, TVXQ's agency announced the first two dates of the Tistory Tour through TVXQ's official website and Facebook.[4] The tour will commence in Seoul, South Korea with two shows on December 6 and 7. The last day, December 7, was TVXQ's 4,000th day since debut. A promotional poster for the tour was released on November 12.[5] On April 8, 2015, TVXQ confirmed that Shenzhen would be the final stop for the China leg of their tour.
The tour is slated to conclude in June 2014 with two encore shows in Seoul, titled T1ST0RY &...![6]
