TirNua is a freemium massively multiplayer browser game founded in 2008 that is available online and via Facebook. TirNua was sold to RockYou in 2010[1] and to Catroo Games in 2012.[2]
Gameplay
TirNua is a social life simulation game. Players may interact with other players, create homes, work jobs, and start businesses. All action within the game is based on three energy types: emotional (red), mental (green), and physical (blue). There are several environmentalist elements within the game, such as each character's carbon footprint.
Currency and business model
TirNua has a virtual economy where players may purchase virtual goods by earning in-game currency (TAU) or buying Green Pieces using real currency. Players may also purchase a Resident Badge which provides privileges beyond that of guest users.
