Tim Jacobus is an American artist best known for creating the covers to all 67 issues of R. L. Stine's book series Goosebumps.[1]

Biography

Tim Jacobus was born April 21, 1959 in the state of New Jersey. Jacobus began drawing in High School and Jacobus is best known for creating the covers to all 67 issues of R. L. Stine's book series Goosebumps, the first book of Give Yourself Goosebumps (Escape from the Carnival of Horrors), the three cancelled Goosebumps Gold covers, all of the Special Editions and Monster Editions, and all 25 Goosebumps Series 2000 books. Since the series' cancellation in 2000, he no longer draws the covers for Goosebumps. Jacobus has written an autobiographical book called It Came From New Jersey! My Life As an Artist, a book on his life and career for Goosebumps.

It is notable that he once worked for the Converse shoe company, which explains its inclusion in many of the original Goosebumps book covers, such as Monster Blood III (Evan's giant Converses are shown stomping through a playground), The Ghost Next Door (a ghostly pair of Converse sneakers can be seen outside the open door), The Haunted School (a pair of greyscale Converses are in the mess of papers spilling out of the locker), and Ghost Camp (every one of the invisible campers is wearing Converse sneakers). He currently draws "Dreamscapes" which donates proceeds to the Nature Conservatory. He has one son, Jack Jacobus, born in August 14, 1998, and currently lives in Budd Lake, New Jersey. [2]
