Tiernan O'Halloran (Irish name: Tiernan Ó hAllaráin ; born 26 February 1991) is an Irish professional rugby union player. O'Halloran plays mainly on the wing for provincial side Connacht.[1]

O'Halloran became Connacht's first ever try scorer in the Heineken Cup in November 2011.

His form during the early stages of the 2011–12 season earned the former Ireland Under-20 international a new contract with Connacht and an invitation to training with the Ireland squad ahead of the Six Nations.

Connacht

O'Halloran joined the Connacht Rugby first team in the 2009–10 season but he did not feature in any matches. in the 2010–11 season he was on the bench for three matches and was beginning to get more game time. O'Halloran scored a try against Harlequins in the Heineken Cup, making history as Connacht's first ever Heineken Cup try scorer. He also featured for Connacht in the 36–10 defeat to Toulouse in and the 23–19 loss against Gloucester, scoring another try against Gloucester. O'Halloran then played in the 24–3 loss against Toulouse but played in the province's first ever Heineken Cup win when Connacht beat Harlequins 9–8.

In the 2011–12 Pro12 O'Halloran scored tries in both games against the Cardiff Blues along with tries Leinster Rugby and Glasgow Warriors. In Round 20 of matches, O'Halloran scored a try in a 26–21 victory over Ulster Rugby to take his tally of tries to five in the Pro12 and seven in all competitions.
