Ironically, she finds it difficult to find a man suitable for her to marry due to her past experience with her father. With wedding gown designer Liu Zi Jun (Kingone Wang) coming into the picture, both him and Shi Jia start to fall in love with Xiao Mei and try to win her over.[1]

Production

The series was the first for veteran actor Zhang Peihua in fifteen years without filming in Taiwan, playing the role of Nylon Chen's father, although he occasionally involved himself in theater.[3] In the same way, it was also the first for singer Nylon Chen as a male lead. In preparation for his acting break, he exercised more than before, running and training in the gym, as well as dieting for a better fitness.[4][5] He played Huang Shi Jia in the series, a stiff and strict character but also able to be funny at times, commenting that he was surprised that he was relaxed while acting as he has a reserved personality.[6]

Cheryl Yang, on the other hand, came back to SETTV once again after separating for four years, although she was consecutively given the female lead by other networks since her career break on My Queen.[7] She also plays the role of a mother once again;[8] the last series she starred on as a single mother was on Once Upon a Love series back in 2012.[9] In preparation, she constantly bonds and interacts with Dou Dou, her daughter in the show.[10] According to her, however, she sometimes feel like talking with Chen Zhi Qiang, another co-star in the series, whenever she talked with Dou Dou.[6]

Yang once mentioned that there was a time when she had to listen to the song "My Destiny" from Korean television series My Love from the Star while filming a crying scene in order for her to bring out her emotions and be able to cry.[11] It was because it was already around midnight when it was filmed and she was the only one in the scene that she did not want the crew to stay longer after filming the whole day. She also had to make sure that the car that she was driving will not collide while crying hard so she had to rely on the song for her to be able to multitask.[11]

Minsheng Pavillion (民生館進行劇中場地) and Amazing Hall (晶宴會館) located in Taiwan are the main locations used for the series as they were used as banquet halls and wedding receptions for the characters.[12]
