This is a Chinese name; the family name is Tian.

Tian Yubao (born 1952) is a Chinese politician of Hui ethnicity. He was investigated by the Communist Party of China's anti-graft agency in November 2014. Previously he served as the Chairman of Taiyuan Municipal People's Congress.[1]

Life

Tian was born and raised in Taiyuan, Shanxi.

In 1995 he became the CPC Party Chief of Nanjiao District, a position he held until May 1997, when he was appointed the CPC Party Chief of Xiaodian District.

In 2002 he was transferred to Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, and appointed the Vice-Chairman of Taiyuan Municipal People's Congress, he was elevated to the Chairman of Taiyuan Municipal People's Congress in June 2007.

Tian Yubao retired in May 2012.

On November 3, 2014, he was being investigated by the Party's internal disciplinary body for "serious violations of laws and regulations".[2]
