Tiago Alexandre Carvalho Gonçalves, commonly known as Ronaldo (born 28 December 1988), is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for C.D. Santa Clara as a midfielder.
Football career
Born in Loures, Lisbon, Ronaldo graduated from Vitória de Guimarães' youth academy for the 2007–08 season, as the Minho club had just returned from the second division. He appeared once during his first professional year, playing 90 minutes in a derby home win against Sporting de Braga.
On 2 July 2009, after no further league appearances for Vitória, Ronaldo signed with Belgium's Standard Liège on a two-year deal.[1] The following year, without having appeared in the country's top flight, he returned to Portugal, joining Moreirense F.C. in the second level.
Ronaldo continued his career in division three in the following years, representing Juventude Sport Clube (in Évora), G.D. Tourizense and F.C. Vizela. He moved to C.D. Santa Clara in the second tier for the 2014–15 campaign.
