Thorpe Hesley F.C. is an English football club based in Thorpe Hesley, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. They play in the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Division One, at level 11 of the English football league system.

History

Thorpe Hesley were formed at the outset of the 20th century, entering the Hatchard League for the first time in 1902. Two years later they made their FA Cup debut, reaching the 2nd qualifying round, an achievement they would equal in 1906 (being disqualified after a replay with Hoyland Town).

They spent a year in the Sheffield Association League before returning to the Hatchard League, where they stayed until 1910.

Little is known of what happened to the club between 1910 and 1997, when they entered the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League (S&HCSL). A year after joining the S&HCSL, they won promotion to Division One, and then finished as runner-up in that division, winning promotion to the Premier Division. They stayed in the top flight until 2009, when they were relegated, and they have remained in Division One ever since.
